Against previous statements, the head of the Austrian conservatives, Michael Spindelegger, considers to introduce new taxes.

The Austrian government parties, SPÖ and ÖVP, currently negotiate over the new austerity package. Details are not known yet. However, Vice-Chancellor and the chairman of ÖVP (Austrian People´s Party), admits that new taxes are not excluded anymore: “I do not feel well when talking about new taxes.
