Austrian OMV is expanding its search for oil andgas in Africa and has invested in two exploration blocks onMadagascar. The company obtained 35 percent in onshore blocks fromTullow.

Earlier OMV acquired stakes in Gabon and Namibia and off the
coast of Madagascar. The latest transaction needs the approval of
the government of Madagascar.
