Austrian federal government - Massive fall in revenue

The federal government is missing €4b ($4.9b) in revenue, in the first four months of this year. In total a decrease of €6.1b ($7.5b) was registered.

The financial and economic crisis tore a deep hole in the state budget.
The comparison with 2008 points out the dramatic effects: This year, from January to May, revenues were €4b less than before the crisis, totalling €6.1b ($7.5b), as stated by Finance Secretary Reinhold at the Parliament.
