Lithuania Locomotive for Baltic States

Economic growth in Lithuania came at 2.9 percent in the first quarter this year compared to the same period last year, which is the highest rate among all Baltic States. Preliminary statistical data show that GDP (gross domestic product) in Estonia even contracted by 1.9 percent while in Latvia it rose by 2.8 percent in the first quarter in 2014.
