According to Nazarbayev, the Kazakh economy has the potential to rise remarkably. Until 2050, he wants his country to rank among the major world economies.
“It is our major goal to be among the 30 major economies by 2050.” Already in 2012, Kazakhstan will enter the top-50, he says. “We have an educated workforce, a united nation and many natural resources.”
