After the announcement of the Hungarian government to convert foreign currency loans at the expense of banks, the IMF has good news for Austrian banks.

According to the IMF, the peak of non-performing loans in Central and Eastern Europe is now exceeded. The quality of outstanding debt in the emerging countries of this region will not worsen, says the IMF. The reason for that is the weaker growth of new loans in the last years.
