Hungary Must Lower Budget Deficit
The Hungarian National Bank puts pressure on the government to lower the budget deficit. By contrast, the government has widened the budget target to 2.8% instead.

Economists and the Hungarian National Bank say that the government should reduce the budget gap next year. The budget deficit should be lowered by 1.4% of GDP in order to achieve the targets in 2013. This year, the Hungarian government expects a budget deficit of 2.8% of GDP. Initially, the deficit target was 2.5% of GDP.
