Hungary: Export volume grew by 1.7% in August

In August, the export volume grew by 1.7% and the import volume decreased by 0.3% compared to the base level. The exports of machinery and transport equipment decreased by 3.2%.

In the first eight months of 2012, the volumes of exports and imports were 3.1% and 1.6% higher respectively than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The value of exports in January–August 2012 amounted to HUF 15,563 billion (EUR 53.1 billion), while that of imports was HUF 14,200 billion (EUR 48.4 billion).
