According to market rumors, Telekom Austria prepares measures against a potential takeover. Currently, the corporation faces several troubles.

Telekom´s CEO Hannes Ametsreiter has to secure the corporation against a potential takeover. In order to prevent this scenario, he already instructed the U.S. investment bank Merill Lynch, the Austrian newspaper “Wirtschaftsblatt” reports.
Insiders should have said that the Telekom fears a hostile takeover. The Telekom did not comment any of these rumors.
