EVN: long winter driving profits
The energy supplier earned €204.9m ($261.6) in the first nine months of the current fiscal year, 16.7 percent more than a year ago. The long winter in Austria helped.

The Austrian energy provider EVN achieved a jump in net profit by over 16 percent in the first nine months of fiscal year 2009/10.
For the full year 2009/10, the listed company confirmed its outlook: “We expect “net profits above the level of last year, despite the uncertain economic framework and the high energy price volatility
