Tauernwind, which has built a solar power park in the Austrian Alps, intends to expand substantially.

At the Styrian location Oberzeiring, which lies 1900m above the sea level, Tauernwind has opened the first solar power plant in the high mountains. The main advantage of the location is the higher energy generation.

According to Tauernwind´s CEO Johannes Trauttmannsdorff-Weinsberg, 2.5 million kilowatt-hours are generated per year, which provides energy for 700 households. The…
