In the last six years, Poland benefitted substantially from EU funds. A cut of € 23bn is being discussed.

At the EU Council held in Cyprus, the EU´s cohesion fund was discussed. In the period of 2014 to 2020, the cohesion fund will be reduced by € 23bn. Above all, the Netherlands, Germany and the UK promote cuts of the next EU budget. The cohesion fund is used to support investments and infrastructure projects in less developed regions of the EU.
