Energy ten percent more expensive
Fuel prices have risen strongly again, oil is more expensive by a third, but gas is cheaper than a year ago.

Austria's households in May will have to spend considerably more on energy than the previous year. The energy price index (PPI) of the Austrian Energy Agency increased by 10.7 percent compared to May 2009. Compared to the previous month, energy was more expensive by 0.6 percent. The general consumer price index (CPI) increased by only 0.1 percent (1.9 percent yearly basis).
