Saudi King Abdullah is dead. Continuity is assured as Crown Prince Salman succeeds brother to the throne. Saudi Arabia is repeatedly being criticised for human rights violations. The 91-year-old monarch of oil power Saudi Arabia had been taken to the hospital because of a lung infection a few weeks ago.

His successor is his half-brother Salman.
