Czech Republic Decides to Enlarge Temelin Power Plant

Today, the Czech Ministry of Environment has approved the enlargement of the nuclear power plant in southern Bohemia.

The nuclear power plant, which has two reactors, was started in 2000. In the next years, the plant should be enlarged by two new reactors. According to the Czech Ministry of Environment, the environmental impact assessment is fulfilled now. The enlargement is expected to be finished until 2015.
