Czech Republic: Agrofert Takes Over German Bakery Chain Lieken
Barilla, the world’s leading manufacturer of pasta products, announced that it had fixed a deal with the Czech company Agrofert to sell the German baking enterprise, Lieken AG.

There have not been any disclosures about the financial details between the Italian pasta maker and Agrofert which have yet to be approved by the EU. Barilla already announced last year in June that the company intended to focus on its core products and higher-margin food products and was actually trying to sell Lieken AG.
