The governing parties have made a new attempt to anchor the state goal of "economy". The bill received majority approval in the Constitutional Committee from the ÖVP and FPÖ, although a two-thirds majority remains questionable.
The bill presented by the government to anchor a state goal of a "competitive business location" has cleared the first parliamentary hurdle.
The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) and the Freedom Party (FPÖ) voted in the Constitutional Committee of the National Council in favour of the amendment to the law that had already been tabled in April 2018.
