In Austria, only 21% of the persons aged between 25 and 34 are graduated. This is massively below the OECD-average of 38%.

Despite slightly increasing quotas, Austria is far from reaching the OECD-level. Germany´s share of academics is 26%. Regarding the age group from 55 to 64, the Austria share is 16%. In OECD-countries, the share comes at 23%.
