In the financial period from 2014 to 2020, Austria loses almost the half of its discount. The net contributions total € 1.15bn per year.

In 2011, Austria´s net contribution came at € 805m. As some countries did not use the subsidies from Brussels, real annual net contribution was about € 561m for Austria in the period from 2007 to 2013.
