For the first time since 1985, Austrian municipalities could reduce their debts in real terms, the Federation of Austrian Municipalities says. The President of the Federation Helmut Mödlhammer: “Regarding the debt management, Austrian municipalities act as role model in Austria.” The number of municipalities in deficit could be reduced last year.
