Austrian Investment Funds down by € 10.7bn in 2011

Last year, Austrian investment funds registered a negative performance of 32%. Eurozone-funds were down by 19.52%, U.S. funds only by 3.0%.

In 2011, the volume of Austrian investment funds declined by 7.3%, which corresponds to a decrease by € 10.7bn. As a result, the funds volume was down from € 145.3bn to € 134.6bn. Losses reached € 3.8bn. These are the results published by VÖIG (association of Austrian investment companies).

In 2011, shares of € 4.7bn were sold, dividend payouts amounted to € 2.2bn.…
