In 2011, the domestic chemical industry registered a 10.5% growth in revenues. Exports were up by 8.5%.

The Austrian chemical industry experienced a favorable business year in 2011. Last year, revenues rose by 10.5% to € 24.4bn. Exports rose by 8.5% to € 18.9bn. As imports also reached € 18.9bn, the foreign trade balance was neutral.
