Austrian Banking Industry: Slight Increase in Operating Profits
In the first half year of 2012, special effects caused an increase in net income. The net interest results were down, however.

In total, the net income of the Austrian banking industry reached € 3.03bn in the first six months of 2012. This is an increase by 4.6% against the reference period of 2011. The profit increase is due to the special effects.
