In the next years, Austria faces a remarkable housing shortage, the Austrian Chamber of Labor (AK) warns.

Demand for residential building is growing for years. Especially in Vienna, the population is growing. Until 2050, the Austrian capital is expected to inhabit more than two million citizens. As a result, living space is becoming increasingly scarce.

However, the supply does not increase in sufficient quantity. In the next 10 years, 50,000 new apartments will be needed, AK says.…
