Andritz Receives Order in DR Congo
The Austrian technology Group Andritz received a contract for reconstruction and rehabilitation of two Francis units (178 MW each) for the Inga 2 hydropower plant, DR Congo.

As part of a consortium, Andritz Hydro is responsible for the entire mechanical part of the rehabilitation including the repair and overhaul of the penstocks, the hydraulic steelworks, and the two Francis turbines. The contract value of this project, which is being supported by financing of the World Bank, is approximately € 45m. Commissioning is scheduled for 2015.
