Serbia intends to withdraw from the building contracts for the construction of a highway with bankrupt Alpine within the next 15 days.

Austrian construction company Alpine was commissioned with a contract for the construction of a highway section between the South Serbian cities of Pirot and Dimitrovgrad on the border to Bulgaria as well as with a bypass road surrounding Dimitrovgrad. The contract value of the construction work, which started in 2010, came at € 60m, according to earlier reports by the media.…
