Alpine Reports Drop in Earnings
Austria’s second largest construction group incurred a loss of € 3.1m in the first half of the year. Strong growth in construction output was offset by increasing material and personnel expenses.

Alpine, which is a unit of the Spanish FCC Group, got into the red in the first six months of 2011. After a meager profit of € 11,000 in the first half of 2010, the company incurred a loss of € 3.1m from January to June 2011.
