Political cooperation between Austria and North Macedonia is under a new star: Just a few days after her inauguration as Foreign Minister, Beate Meinl-Reisinger received her counterpart Timčo Mucunski in Vienna. The meeting was seen as an important diplomatic prelude, characterized by solidarity and determination, both in humanitarian and political terms. The tragic events in Kočani brought the relationship between the two countries into focus, while at the same time the European future of North Macedonia was discussed.
