Wind Power in Sahara: New Orders for Siemens Austria

The Austrian subsidiary of the German technology group Siemens achieved its first orders for the construction of wind power plants.

Siemens Austria has been awarded by the North African state Morocco to build wind power plants with a capacity of 100 MW. In total, 44 wind power plants will be delivered to Morocco. Siemens Austria is responsible for the delivery, mounting and setting-up operations of the turbines. The power plants will start operations in 2013.
