Difficulties in Romania and Italy for Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) lead to a massive decline in profits.

After VIG posted a dramatic decline in earnings last year the Austria insurance company strives to get a grip on its business activity in both Italy and Romania. “We have two big problem children who we try to get fit again for a good result in 2014,” CEO of VIG Peter Hagen announced on Wednesday.
