Vienna: Bolivian President Allowed to Continue Journey

Bolivan President Evo Morales had to land in Vienna after several European countries – among them Spain, France and Portugal – refused the right to overfly.

Spain has now granted the right to overfly the country and to make a stop en route on the Canary Islands. This was announced by the Spanish Exterior Ministry, as reported by news agency AFP and Spanish daily “El Pais”. Austrian President Heinz Fischer assumed the position of a mediator.
