Slovenia: FDI to Remain Low in 2014

No improvement in increasing foreign direct investments in Slovenia is expected this year. The country has one of the smallest shares in inward FDI among EU member countries.

In the past years FDI in the small former Yugoslavian country only grew slightly. At the end of 2007 the percentage of FDI to GDP stood at 28.2 percent and only increased to 33.2 percent of GDP at the end of last year, according to the statistical office.
