The Austrian Central Bank (OeNB) sees signs that the economic downturn trend can be stopped. A small growth in 2012 could be possible.

At the end of 2011, the Austrian economy further lost dynamics. However, the new year brings first signs that the economy stabilizes again. According to the economic indicator of OENB, the Austrian economy faced stagnation in the fourth quarter. Due to strong growth rates in the previous quarters, economic growth in 2011 amounts to 3.3%.
