Romania: Average Earnings Down Substantially

In January 2013, the average gross nominal earnings were 2138 lei, by 8.7% lower than the one registered in December 2012.

The average net nominal earnings were 1548 lei, decreasing as against the previous month with 149 lei (8.8%). The highest values of the average net nominal earnings were recorded in air transport (3799 lei), while the lowest in accommodation and food service activities (840 lei).
