An increase in research expenditure of 5% is expected for 2011. The expenditure should amount to € 8.3bn this year.

About 5% more than in 2010 will likely be spent on research in 2011, with a total expenditure of around € 8.3bn. Particularly gratifying, according to the FFG (Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft, Research Promotion Company), is the increase in corporate spending with a growth of 5.9%.
