Poland: Standard & Poor´s Upgrades Banking Industry

The U.S. rating agency upgrades the banking sector´s risk score.

In its Banking Industry Country Risk Assessment (BICRA), S&P increased the risk score to “5” from “6”. This would be due to the improved regulatory and supervisory framework. S&P underlined that the protective regulations in recent years became effective. Also the limited dividend distribution would be favorable for the equity base, S&P said.
