Poland: Public Debt Level Shrinks Slightly

At the end of 2012, the public debt level came at 53% of GDP. One year before, the quota stood at 53.5%.

Due to the high economic growth rate, Poland´s public debt level is declining. Based on the Polish methodology, the public debt quota is expected to reach about 53% of GDP (2011: 53.5%). According to EU standards, the debt to GDP ratio comes at 56% (2011: 56.4%).
