The Austrian wholesale trader acquires a 24.9% stake in the retail chain Zielpunkt. The cartel authorities still must approve the deal.

In January, the German national Jan Satek took over Zielpunkt. For Satek, the MBO was a “logical step”. The Austrian supermarket discounter was sold by the Luxemburg-based financial investor BluO-Group. The Group acquired Zielpunkt in 2008 from the German Tengelmann Group. Zielpunkt supermarket chain is loss-making since several years.
