Lativa is becoming the 18th country in the Eurozone. The EU Economy and Finance Ministers have given their green light for the admission.

The Baltic State, which counts around two million citizens, will become amember of the currency union on January 1 2014. The exchange rate was determined at 0.702804 Lats per Euro, as announced by the Ministers. The first Euro bills and coins are supposed to be issued from January 1 2014 on.
