Insolvencies on the Rise Again

Although insolvencies for the full year 2010 decreased by almost 6%, there sees to be a trend reversal in the first three months of 2011.

The final figures of the corporate insolvency statistics of Creditreform for the 1st quarter of 2011 show that corporate insolvencies are rising  again after declining in 2010. Corporate insolvencies rose by 3.5% to 1,692 proceedings.

The increase in the numbers of proceedings opened is 5.2% (891 companies). The main causes for the failure of the companies lie in management…
