Inflation at 2 per cent in April
Austria’s inflation rate remains constant at 2 per cent in April compared to March. Without driving price developments of petroleum products (+23 per cent), inflation rate would register 1,1 per cent according to “Statistik Austria”.

February’s value was even lower at 1 per cent. The eurozone exhibits an increase to 1,5 per cent.
Eurostat however announced a rate of 1,8 per cent for Austria, i.e. 0.2 per cent lower than calculations of Statistik Austria. CPI at constant CPI prices of 2005, registers 109.6; the average price level rising by 0.3 per cent compared to March.
