Registrations of new motor vehicles in May 2011: +19.7%; passenger cars: +18.4%, lorries: +25.3%

According to Statistics Austria, a total of 46,934 new motor vehicles was registered in May 2011, 19.7% more than in May 2010 and 0.3% more than in April 2011. Registrations of new passenger cars (34,393 units) increased by 18.4%; the share of new passenger cars related to the entire registrations was 73.3%.
