The Austrian export activity slowed down in the fourth quarter, but the pessimistic expectations did not become real. In 2011, Austrian exports were up by 12%.

According to the export indicator published by Austrian Central Bank (OeNB), exports stagnated in the fourth quarter. A decrease, which was expected before, has not been observed.
