EU27 current account surplus came at € 29.1 bn in the first quarter of 2013.

The EU27 external current account2 recorded a surplus of 29.1 billion euro (0.9% of GDP) in the first quarter of 2013, compared with a deficit of 1.5 bn (0.0% of GDP) in the first quarter of 2012, according to a second estimate released by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
