Turkey´s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan increases the pressure on the EU. He considers a political re-orientation towards the east.

As the EU is still not convinced of an accession of Turkey, Erdogan considers a political re-orientation. According to the Turkish Prime Minister, Turkey has asked Russia´s President Vladimir Putin for admission in the so called “Shanghai Five” (Shanghai Cooperation Organization). “Then we will say good-bye to the EU.” Erdogan stresses.
