Equity Ratio of SME has Increased to Around 25%

According to the Austrian Institute for SME Research, the equity ratio for SME grows. Large companies, however, are faced with declining equity ratios.

The equity ratio of the local SME (small and medium enterprises) in the financial year 2008/09 amounted on average to 25%, exceeding the industry’s minimum reference value of 20%. Compared to last year, an increase in the capital base of 1.3 percentage points can be observed.
