Czech President Milos Zeman will appoint former Czech prime minister Jiri Rusnok as new board member of the Czech National Bank.

For the Czech public, the announcement was not surprising. After the Czech presidential elections in early 2013, Zeman said that Rusnok will become board member of the Czech National Bank.
