Ewald Nowotny, Governor of Austria´s Central Bank, thinks that a bank union in the Eurozone would still take some time. Erste Group´s CEO Andreas Treichl approves the idea.

OeNB´s Nowotny supports the idea of a bank union. However, there would be more important issues at the moment such as the ESM and Eurobonds.Nowotny regrets that the ESM has been ratified in only four states until now. In Germany and Austria, the parliaments have to approve the ESM.
