Bank of China to Open Branch in Vienna
Bank of China, one of the 5 biggest state-owned commercial banks in China intends to open its first branch in Vienna in the near future, as its Chairman Tian Guoli recently said while visiting Vienna.

Tian was welcomed by Austrian President Heinz Fischer, and the two were joined for discussions in the Hofburg Palace by governor of the Austrian central bank (OeNB) Ewald Nowotny.
A spokesperson for the president said all necessary paperwork has been submitted and all necessary decisions have been made, though an exact location for the branch has not yet been determined.
