Austrian Labor Market Continues Downward Trend

Since mid-2012, the Austrian labor market conditions are worsening. Unemployment is going up, the number of vacancies are going down.

In October, the Austrian unemployment rate was up again. Compared to October 2012, the number of jobless persons was up by 11.8%. This corresponds to 30,400 persons. In total, 280,300 Austrians were unemployed at the end of October. Moreover, the number of trainees increased 10.7% to 80,720.
